Population Health, Hawke's Bay DHB

Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi. Engari, he toa takitini.

Success is not the work of one, but the work of many.

Fixed term

We are offering a one year registrar position within the Population Health Service in Hawke's Bay from July 2018. This placement is between 6-12 months (part-time option available).

We are looking for someone interested in working with a highly innovative and experienced team focused on reducing inequalities and engaging effectively with stakeholders and community.

Three public health physicians in addition to the wider team will be available to train you in classic health protection areas such as communicable disease control and environmental health as well as emerging areas of practice such as water resource management, informatics and alcohol harm reduction.

Hawke's Bay will provide both challenges and opportunities as we focus on transforming our engagement with iwi and hapu in a post treaty settlement environment. While the work will be challenging you will be supported by a friendly DHB and our bountiful Heretaunga Plains.

This is a unique opportunity in the Hawke's Bay, and when you combine this with the chance to live in New Zealand's own piece of paradise, you have to ask yourself why work anywhere else? Take a stroll through the Hawke's Bay Tourism website and get yourself to Hawke's Bay!

If you are interested in discussing this position further please contact Dr Nicholas Jones on 0272335315.
