18th International Medical Geography Symposium
2019
New Directions, Enlarging Our Worlds
Queenstown, New Zealand, 30 June- 5 July
2019
In 2019 New Zealand will host the pre-eminent meeting of health
geographers, the 18th International Medical Geography Symposium
(IMGS). The IMGS is the main meeting ground for health geographers
across the English-speaking world along with interested researchers
from other disciplines. Researchers, writers and scholars at all
stages of their careers are invited to submit proposals for
presentations at the 18th International Medical
Geography Symposium. We particularly welcome diverse approaches to
conventional fields of medical and health geography through new
methodological and theoretical perspectives on health and wellbeing
as well as interdisciplinary insights into people/place/space
relationships.
