2026 Registrar Orientation and Training Days
The College has organised two days filled with exciting public health workshops, networking and Whakawhanaungatanga. This is a wonderful opportunity to attend the first face to face training days of the year with our other registrars, training programme supervisors and staff.
It is expected that registrars attend unless unwell, and if you're currently on interrupted training you're welcome to attend.
Venue: The Copthorne Hotel, 100 Oriental Parade, Wellington
Dates: February 19 & 20, 2026
- Day 1: 10.00am - 3.30pm
- Day 2: 09.00am - 3.30pm
MĀORI REGISTRAR TRAINING DAY
Registrars who are Māori, are welcome to attend a training day separate to orientation on Wednesday, 18 February 2026 in Wellington. Please register your attendance.
REGISTRAR DINNER
All registrars are welcome to attend dinner on Thursday, 19 February 2026 in Wellington, you will need to register your attendance, dinner will be booked at for 6.00pm (more details will follow once venue is confirmed), the College will cover the cost of food only (if you order drinks you will need to pay at the time of ordering), confirmed numbers required by 11 February 2026.

We recommend booking your flights and accommodation soon to secure the best rates. Below are some suggested options, but feel free to choose a more budget-friendly alternative.

EXPENSE CLAIM FORMS
Basic Trainees: reimbursement of flight expenses can be submitted to the College from January 2026 onwards and accommodation expenses from March 2026, these need to be supported by your GST receipts on an expense claim form and emailed to education@nzcphm.org.nz
Advanced trainees: to claim travel expenses you need to apply through your employer i.e. Te Whatu Ora
