PHNAZ - Feature Webinar - Alistair Woodward

Online 12.10 to 12.45pm
Here’s an abstract: Greenhouse gas emissions continue to rise, despite all we know about the science of climate change. This simple and rather dismal observation prompts the question: how can public health contribute more effectively to climate policy? I suggest four value-adding actions for public health professionals. These are: to provide information on health effects including ‘tales of joy’ as well as alarm; to demonstrate how health protection adds teeth to climate action; to make better use of opportunities to influence policy makers; and to engage more strongly with advocacy and activism.
