Ngā Pūkenga me ngā Wheako – Skills & Experience:The Public Health Physician will provide high quality advice and analysis to inform the design, delivery and implementation of policies, services and programmes of work within the Agency by using their:
- relationship building skills to connect and build partnerships across the Agency, Ministry of Health, the wider health sector, government and other external stakeholders
- public health medicine skills, knowledge and experience
- critical thinking to assimilate complex and often competing ideas logically and write or articulate these clearly, concisely and coherently
- decision-making skills to give guidance under pressure, often in ambiguous situations and to articulate the rationale behind the judgement in making trade-offs
